Direct Connect Overview

Direct Connect is a beta path for explicit private app access over an Iroh peer connection when a managed private tunnel is eligible.

It is not the default public URL behavior. The public edge remains the normal serving path and fallback.

The current model is deliberately narrow: discover eligible tunnels through the control plane, attempt a direct peer path, and fall back to the edge URL when direct connection is unavailable or not authorized.
